Meet Catherine
I was born in the UK and raised in a town in the midlands; in a family that, thankfully, provided me with positive experiences and secure relationships with those closest to me.
During my childhood, I saw how poverty, unemployment, poor health and unsuitable housing affected people’s opportunities in life, and although I didn’t realise it as a child, these early experiences would shape my choice to study and pursue a career as a social worker.
Moving to Australia as a young adult, it was not until I lived 15,000 kilometers from family and my home did I truly understand the sense of loss, deep connections to family that remain with us wherever we are in the world, and the importance of maintaining relationships with people and places that are important to us.
Now as a mum myself, I strive to support children and young people to be raised within safe, strong families and communities, and where this is not possible (and it usually is), that children and young people are cared for by adults who can support their past, present, and future and help them to remain connected to family and community.”
This is my Family, we created One Future as we think that every family deserves the chance to live, love, and be together. The formation of our logo was built in resemblance of my family, of triangles as these are the strongest shapes. Strong shapes make strong family relationships and everything we do at One Future is built on Family First values.

Family Group Conferencing
One Future are an approved Family Group Conference (FGC) provider, specialising in Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal FGC's.
Pregnancy Family Conferencing
One Future are an approved Pregnancy Family Conference (PFC) provider. Our staff are certified and skilled to offer independent facilitation for PFC's.
